Saanich Police are asking for those with information to come forward regarding a possible hit-and-run collision between a cyclist and vehicle.
Just before 5:30 p.m. on Monday, July 27th, police were contacted by BC Emergency Health Services in a response to an injured cyclist found in the road at the intersection of Parkside Crescent and Winchester Road.
Paramedics told police that they believe the cyclist may have collided with or been hit by a vehicle that was no longer at the scene when they arrived.
Officers responded to the scene and began investigating the matter.
The cyclist suffered serious injuries that were not believed to be life threatening and was transported to hospital for treatment.
To aid the investigation, police are asking anyone who has information to get in touch.
Those who witnessed a collision involving the cyclist at the scene, or has dashcam footage of the incident, is asked to contact Saanich Police at (250) 475-4321, citing file number 26-14460.
