Police investigating after several businesses vandalized in Campbell River

Campbell River RCMP have launched an investigation after numerous businesses were vandalized over the weekend. 

Police say the targeted businesses had glass windows or doors smashed, and at least six businesses were impacted over the course of four days. 

Between 1:30 a.m. and 2 a.m. on Friday, August 14th, at least four businesses suffered glass breaks.

According to police, a suspect wearing all black with one yellow glove, one grey glove and riding a red bicycle was captured on video surveillance during these incidents.

The following day, at around 6:15 a.m. on Saturday, August 15th, another local business was targeted with a window smash.

Lastly, at around 2 a.m. on Monday, August 17th, police responded to a break and enter at a local restaurant. There, two suspects allegedly smashed the patio window before entering the restaurant.

Police say they are working to gather evidence and determine if these incidents are connected.

No details surrounding where these businesses are located was provided. 

Anyone who witnessed suspicious activities between Friday and Monday are asked to call Campbell River RCMP at (250) 286-6221.
