Campbell River RCMP have arrested two people in connection with a significant drug trafficking investigation.
On Thursday, July 9th, following a three-month investigation, police executed a search warrant at a residence in the 500 block of South Alder Street.
During the seizure, officers discovered over 225 grams of suspected cocaine, 10 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 4.5 kilograms of marjuana and over $77,000 in cash.
Two suspects were taken into custody following the seizure—a 62-year-old Campbell River man and a 58-year-old Campbell River woman.
Both have since been released with a first court appearance of October 5th.
“This is another excellent example of how our investigators are working to remove illicit drugs from the street and hold traffickers accountable,” said Constable Maury Tyre, spokesperson for Campbell River RCMP.
Police ask that anyone with information regarding illegal drug trafficking or ongoing criminal enterprise call Campbell River RCMP at (250) 286-6221.
