Tuesdays don’t have to be boring. There’s free music in the park or at Ship Point, free yoga at Willows Beach, a classic movie at The Vic Theatre or a country dance night at Encore!

Here are 5 things to do in and around Victoria this Tuesday, August 18th:

Yoga in the Park at Willows Beach Park

Head down to Yoga in the Park at Willows Beach Park!

Get involved in the community and experience the benefits of outdoor yoga. What’s not to love?

These free, all-levels classes take place every Tuesday and are led by experienced instructors.

Everyone is welcome to attend.

Jurassic Park at the Vic Theatre

It’s time to return to Jurassic Park!

Steven Spielberg’s massive ’90s blockbuster, adapted from Michael Crichton’s bestselling novel, is an experience made for the big screen.

With Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum, dinosaurs, suspense and unforgettable spectacle, this beloved classic still thrills.

These special screenings also celebrate the remarkable Sam Neill and his unforgettable contribution to one of cinema’s most iconic adventures.

Tickets are $14.29 and can be purchased here.

Music in the Park at Rutledge Park

Join your neighbours for an evening of music in the park!

Every Tuesday, Saanich Parks and Recreation puts on a free concert in a different park.

This week, Rutledge Park will host Late Shift, playing some classic rock and roll tunes.

Food is available for purchase from Greek on the Street, Country Crepes, Kukus on the Run and Softies Ice Cream.

These events are free and everyone is welcome to attend.

The Projectors at Ship Point

Head down to Ship Point for a free all ages show!

The Projectors will be taking to the stage at the beautiful Inner Harbour stage, putting on a show fit for the whole family.

The Projectors is a 5-piece indie rock band from Victoria who is bound to deliver an excellent performance.

This show is free and everyone is welcome to attend. More information can be found here.

Honky Tonk Tuesday with Petunia and The Vipers at Encore Victoria

Yeehaw!

Petunia is back in town – dust off your boots and go dance!

Petunia and The Victoria Honky Tonk Band features local all-star players on the pedal steel, upright bass, and fiddle. This week, the Vipers join them.

Lively old-school country and western swing tunes from classic legends like Hank Williams, Bob Wills, Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline and more.

Big hats and bolo ties encouraged!

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased here.
