Make Your Whole Day Matter: Move More, Sit Less, Sleep Well at the Yakimovich Wellness Centre
Your daily habits shape your long-term health far more than you might think.
In this session, attendees will explore simple ways to add more movement into your routine, cut down on long periods of sitting and build healthier sleep patterns.
The event will look at “movement snacks,” like standing breaks or quick chair exercises, that interrupt sedentary time and support better health.
Attendees will leave with evidence informed strategies that are easy to apply and designed to fit real life.
The session is led by Dr. Kirstin Lane, associate professor in the School of Exercise Science, Physical and Health Education at the University of Victoria and a CSEP-Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP).
Her research focuses on how exercise can safely support people with diagnosed medical conditions, with a particular interest in cancer.
This event is free and is offered both in-person and digitally. Register here.
