What a weekend that was—and don’t worry, there’s plenty going on this Monday to keep the fun going.

If you’ve got the itch to support local growers after VegFest or the Flavour Trails Festival, try heading to The Gorge Farmers Market!

If you want to soak up some Vancouver Island culture, check out a movie filmed on Vancouver Island at one of Victoria’s fantastic independent theatres.

The Gorge Farmers Market

The Gorge Farmers Market is in full swing!

Happening every Monday until September 21st, the Gorge Farmers market will be setting up shop in Gorge Park.

This year, the market is celebrating its fifth season. Local food, live music, a beautiful view of the Gorge Waterway and over 50 vendors.

Get down to Gorge Park and buy local! The market is free and everyone is welcome to attend.

Paul Black at the Loft Pub

Catch some live music at The Loft Pub!

The Loft is one of the Gorge’s favourite neighbourhood pubs.

Blues Guitarist and soulful singer Paul Black will take to the stage, where he hopes to captivate the audience with some of the best of blues.

Cover is voluntary.

SixtyWatt Trivia at Christie’s Carriage Pub

Head down to Christie’s for their weekly pub trivia in partnership with SixtyWatt Trivia!

These events are always a riot.

SixtyWatt is a Victoria-based trivia company that is known as the “Mr. Fix it” of quiet pub nights.

They specialize in sarcasm, banter and some pretty great one liners that you may in fact want to write home about.

With four fun rounds, each team has a chance to rake in the prizes.

Trivia is free to play, but SixtyWatt does ask that you support the venue and purchase some food or beverages.

Beginner Contemporary Drop-in Dance Class at The Space Collective

These are beginner contemporary dance classes with no experience required.

The classes prioritize an enthusiastic and supportive environment where people feel comfortable to move, groove and have fun.

It will begin with a warm-up and stretching, introductory exercise, and a beginner-friendly dance combination.

Make sure to wear comfortable clothing that makes you feel good, and bring a water bottle!

Tickets are $23 and can be purchased here.

Vancouver Island Film Blue Heron at The Vic Theatre

Filmed on Vancouver Island, Blue Heron is a film that comes from writer and director Sophy Romvari.

The film is also set on Vancouver Island, and features a family of six settling into their new home as internal dynamics are revealed through the eyes of the youngest child.

Blue Heron is a reflection on Romvari’s past, and she weaves her own life experiences into the story.

Tickets are $14.29 plus fees and can be purchased here.
