Happy Monday, Victoria!

After an exciting weekend in the city, there’s no shortage of things to do this Monday.

Hit the farmers market at the Gorge, head to Swan Lake for some forest bathing, bring the family down to Memorial Park for some fun and games or hit the pub for some live music or music bingo!

Here are 5 things to do in and around Victoria this Monday, August 10th:

The Gorge Farmers Market

The Gorge Farmers Market is back!

Happening every Monday until September 21st, the Gorge Farmers market will be setting up shop in Gorge Park.

This year, the market is celebrating its fifth season. Local food, live music, a beautiful view of the Gorge Waterway and over 50 vendors.

Get down to Gorge Park and buy local! The market is free and everyone is welcome to attend.

  • When: Monday, August 10th – 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Forest Bathing at Swan Lake

More than a walk in the woods, forest bathing is an opportunity to slow down, focus on the senses and re-connect with nature.

Join the Swan Lake Nature Sanctuary for a two hour forest walk through the Sanctuary, where guide Agnes will lead guests on a slow-paced, approximately one kilometre walk through Swan Lake’s trails.

Along the way, Agnes will encourage guests to tune into their senses and connect with nature.

The walk will wrap up with some refreshments and tea.

Tickets for this event are $20, you can register here.

  • When: Monday, August 10th – 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Family-Friendly playtime at Memorial Park

Join Esquimalt Parks and Recreation at the park for some fun outdoor activities.

There will be lawn games, light sports equipment and more!

Go and spend some time in the fresh air and sun!

Everyone is welcome, but parent supervision is required.

  • When: Monday, August 10th – 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Dustin Barden at the Irish Times

Catch some live music at the Irish Times!

Dustin is a renowned local musician. He’ll be playing guitar and keyboards and will be offering up an evening of pop music gems!

Attendance is free, just make sure to tip your servers!

  • When: Monday, August 10th – 8:30 p.m.

Monday Night Music Bingo at Maude Hunter’s Pub

Who doesn’t love some music bingo?

Maude Hunter’s Pub hosts one of the longest-running music bingos in the city. They have it down to a science.

The crowd is loud and the food is tasty.

Just be sure to get there early, the place fills up quickly.
