There’s a good old-fashioned beach party coming to Colwood this weekend!
The annual Eats & Beats Beach Party is back at Colwood’s Beachlands neighbourhood this Saturday, July 25th. Taking place from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., this will be the 11th time the event has taken place, with attendance growing each year.
Eats & Beats will feature all the staples of a good beach party, including live music, food trucks, beach games and a beachside beverage service.
In the way of music, the lineup will feature Kooler to start the day with some rock classics at 1:15 p.m., followed by Whiskey Business bringing the country vibes.
TRIPPYCALS will follow up with some Latin R&B and funk tunes, then the legendary locals Blasé Blasé later in the afternoon.
Ending the day will be Nautical Disaster, who will pay homage to the famous The Tragically Hip, bringing a true Canadian sound to round out the evening starting at 6:15 p.m.
As anyone who’s been to an Eats & Beats party before knows, getting to the venue is half the fun.
The event takes place about a kilometre away from the Lagoon Beach parking lot, meaning some get creative with their modes of transport.
Kayaking takes the cake for the most fun arrival, however there will also be free beach buses bringing people to the venue from Quarry Park and the Royal Bay Pickleball courts all day long.
Walking from the Lagoon Beach parking lot down the beach is also an option, as is cycling down the path to the Beachlands.
When beach go-ers get to the venue, their favourite food truck will be waiting.
Greek on the Street, Bao Theory, Mash & Dash, Cold Comfort Ice Cream, L’Authentique Poutine, Ali Baba Pizza and more will all be waiting patiently for hungry folks to arrive at the beach and partake in some tasty grub.
This is truly the ultimate beach party every year, and with the hot days Victoria has had this week, it comes at the perfect time.
Grab your favourite people and head down to Colwood for the 11th annual Eats & Beats Beach Party this Saturday!
