9 places to find fresh corn on the cob across Vancouver Island this summer

Nothing says summer quite like fresh corn on the cob, especially when it has been picked just a short drive from home.

Corn season is now underway at several Vancouver Island farms, with peaches and cream, yellow and super-sweet varieties beginning to appear at farm markets and roadside stands.

While some farms are already selling their 2026 crop, others expect their corn to be ready later this summer. Availability can also change quickly, so it is always a good idea to check with the farm before making a longer drive.

Here are 9 places to find fresh corn on the cob across Vancouver Island this summer:

Silver Rill Corn

Silver Rill is one of the best-known corn stops on southern Vancouver Island, specializing in premium non-GMO sweet corn.

The farm’s 2026 corn season began July 9th with its early peaches and cream variety. Yellow and super-sweet varieties were expected to follow around July 20th.

The market is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., including holidays.

Michell’s Farm Market

Another longtime Saanich Peninsula favourite, Michell’s Farm says its corn is officially ready for the season.

The family-operated farm market sells a large selection of produce grown on the surrounding farmland and is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Galey Farms

Galey Farms grows much of the produce sold at its Blenkinsop Valley market, including several varieties of sweet corn.

The farm says corn has begun arriving on its shelves for the season, with additional white and bi-colour varieties typically appearing later in the summer.

Sweet Meadows Farm and Market

This family-run Mill Bay market has strong roots in corn. The business began with its owners selling freshly picked corn from the back of a pickup truck before eventually growing into a year-round farm market.

Sweet Meadows now carries its own produce alongside food from other Vancouver Island farms. The market is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., but  has not posted a specific 2026 corn update, so call ahead at (250) 929-0040.

Valley Roots Farm Market

Valley Roots Farm Market in Chemainus recently announced that its first BC-grown sweet corn of the season has arrived.

The market also carries vegetables grown on its own Cowichan Valley farm alongside produce and products from other local suppliers.

McNab’s Produce Farm

McNab’s has been growing and selling its well-known super-sweet corn for more than 40 years.

Its Yellow Point roadside produce stand is open for the season and carries sweet corn when available, along with potatoes, carrots, beets, zucchini and squash.

The stand is open during daylight hours and can sometimes be unattended. It is cash only, with exact change recommended. Corn availability can be confirmed by calling (250) 755-6005.

Silver Meadows Farm Market

Silver Meadows Farm Market has announced that its 2026 corn season is underway.

The 116-acre family farm grows sweet corn, strawberries, raspberries, vegetables and pumpkins. Its rustic market also carries eggs, meat, local cheese, preserves and other Vancouver Island-made products.

Naesgaard’s Farm and Market

Naesgaard’s has also announced the arrival of its own freshly picked corn for the season.

The Port Alberni farm grows corn, strawberries, carrots, potatoes, beans, cucumbers, squash and several other vegetables. Its market is open daily, though supplies can vary as crops are harvested.

McClintock’s Farm

Corn lovers in the Comox Valley will have to wait a little longer for McClintock’s award-winning non-GMO sweet corn.

The farm grows four varieties, ranging from peaches and cream to solid yellow corn. Its harvest normally runs from mid-August through early September, with corn sold at the farm stand and the Comox Valley Farmers’ Market.
