Over 46K cruise passengers expected in Victoria as 15 ships arrive this week

Victoria’s busy cruise season continues this week with another steady stream of visitors arriving at Ogden Point.

Between Monday, July 13th and Sunday, July 19th, 15 cruise ship visits are scheduled to make a stop in Victoria, bringing an estimated 46,520 passengers to the city.

According to the schedule, the busiest day of the week will be Thursday, when three ships carrying a combined 10,801 passengers are expected to dock in Victoria.

Among the week’s largest vessels is Anthem of the Seas, which arrives Sunday evening with up to 4,919 passengers, making it the biggest ship visiting Victoria this week. It is closely followed by Star Princess (4,300 passengers), Norwegian Bliss (4,250) and Voyager of the Seas (4,000).

This week’s schedule will see familiar ships such as Carnival Spirit, Carnival Miracle, Voyager of the Seas, Celebrity Edge, Norwegian Bliss, Eurodam, Royal Princess and Anthem of the Seas continue making regular weekly stops as part of their Alaska itineraries.

Since the first ship arrived on April 10th, the city has welcomed 161 cruise ship visits carrying an estimated 480,565 passengers.

Friday, July 17th

• Eurodam — 8 p.m. — 2,104 passengers
• Royal Princess — 8:15 p.m. — 3,560 passengers
• Norwegian Bliss (technical call) — 9:30 p.m. — 4,250 passengers

Saturday, July 18

• Star Princess — 7 p.m. — 4,300 passengers
• Noordam — 8 p.m. — 1,918 passengers
• Norwegian Encore — 8 p.m. — 3,998 passengers

Sunday, July 19

• Queen Elizabeth — 9 a.m. — 2,081 passengers
• Anthem of the Seas — 5 p.m. — 4,919 passengers
• MSC Poesia — 7 p.m. — 3,013 passengers

Of the cruis ships visiting this week, seven of the 15 vessels are expected to arrive at or after 8 p.m., including five during the busy Friday-to-Sunday period. 

Those later stops mean thousands of passengers will have only a few hours to explore Victoria before their ships depart for Seattle.
