Music in the Park is officially back in Saanich!

The District of Saanich invites any and all residents to get out and join their neighbours for the free live music concert series in a local park.

Every Tuesday, the concert series moves throughout the region to a different local park to bring a bit of live music to every corner of Saanich.

This week, the kickoff took place at the Goward House park, located at 2495 Arbutus Road, and saw dozens of residents and their families see local band Fine Spirits play some classic hits.

See below for the remaining Music in the Park featured musical acts and locations:

  • July 14th: Shenanigans (classic rock) – Majestic Park, 4380 Majestic Drive
  • July 21st: The Hit List (danceable hits) – Beckwith Park, 857 Beckwith Avenue
  • July 28th: The Sutcliffes (Beatles covers) – Brydon Park, End of Viewpoint Avenue
  • August 4th: Groove Diggers (top 40 and classics) – Hyacinth Park, 700 Marigold Road

  • August 25th: Apex Breaks (psychedelic jungle funk) – Rudd Park, 3259 Irma Street

At every Music in the Park show there will be food available for purchase, but attendees are also invited to bring their own picnic.

This year’s shows will also feature young entrepreneur crafters and artisans. Any youth artisans interested in selling their wares can apply to be at these events via an online application form.
