Oaklands Sunset Market
The community of Oak Bay is thrilled to invite everyone back for another year of Oaklands Sunset Market!
It’s set to occur every Wednesday night at the Oaklands Community Centre until August 27th, where you’ll find over 50 local food and artisan vendors, live music and more.
There are also eight diverse selections of food trucks available, including Churros and Mor, Greek n’ Go, Hazel’s Ice Cream and others!
There’s no better way to spend a summer evening.

The Wailin’ Jennys at the Butchart Gardens
Experience the soaring harmonies and magnetic presence of The Wailin’ Jennys, the internationally acclaimed folk trio whose blend of artistry, elegance and emotional power has earned them multiple Juno Awards and a devoted global following.
What began as a one‑off collaboration has evolved into a musical force known for breathtaking live performances and genre‑spanning creativity.
Tickets are $44.25. No advance tickets remain, remaining tickets must be purchased at the gate on a first-come, first-served basis.

Comedy Night at The Fernwood Inn
It’s Fernwood Comedy Night!
Head down to the Fernwood Inn for a great night featuring some of Victoria’s funniest stand-up comics and improvisers.
Tickets are $15 per person. Table tickets are sold in groups of four, five or six people. Single seats are also available at the community table.
There won’t be tickets at the door, so be sure to get yours soon! Purchase yours here.

Five Animal Frolics qigong Workshop at Beacon Hill Park
Head down to Beacon Hill Park for an evening workshop on the Five Animal Frolics, an ancient Chinese qigong practice to stretch and cultivate energy.
This session will focus on the monkey, the animal associated with summer, joy and the element of fire.
The monkey movements are some of the most expressive in the whole sequence—one piece is about letting go of striving and the other is just about being an exuberant little monkey.
Everyone is welcome, all genders, ethnicities, backgrounds, and levels of experience with qigong. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Imagine After Hours at Serious Coffee in Esquimalt
Imagine After Hours is an evening social café designed for connection beyond the daytime hours.
This relaxed, supportive gathering offers a welcoming space to unwind, meet new people and build community in a non-clinical environment.
With coffee, conversation, and occasional creative or social activities, Imagine After Hours is a gentle way to stay connected and supported.
