Head down to Royal Athletic Park this Tuesday for the West Coast League’s All-Star Home Run Derby, check out the faculty of the Baroque Summer Intensive program perform or take it easy with one of Ghilbi’s most iconic films.

Victoria Conservatory of Music Baroque Summer Intensive Faculty Concert

Enjoy some baroque from some of the city’s finest musicians!

Faculty members of the Baroque Summer Intensive Program bring you a delicious musical feast with some favourite dishes by composers like Bach and Handel, and surprising treats that you may not have heard before.

Join members of Victoria Baroque, Pacific Baroque Orchestra and early music specialists from across North America for this uplifting summertime concert.

The concert will be taking place at the stunning Alix Goolden Performance Hall.

West Coast League All-Star Home Run Derby

Head down to Royal Athletic Park as the best in the West Coast League (WCL) swing for the fences in a new twist on the home-run derby, featuring a 3-on-3 competition with a defensive component!

Former Blue Jay Kevin Pillar will also be taking part in this exciting event!

The WCL All-Star game will also be taking place tomorrow.

The Longest Johns with Seán Dagher at Studio 919

Head down to Studio 919 for a night with the Longest Johns!

The Longest Johns are an English folk group from Bristol.

They’ll be joined by Seán Dagher, a traditional folk music artist who honours Celtic, French-Canadian, baroque, medieval, Arabic and maritime folk music.

My Neighbor Totoro for Ghibli Fest 2026 at the Roxy Theatre

The Roxy Theatre is hosting Ghibli Fest!

Head down to the stunning theatre in Quadra Village and catch the heartwarming Ghibli flick My Neighbour Totoro. 

From the legendary Studio Ghibli, creators of Spirited Away and Ponyo, and Academy Award-winning director Hayao Miyazaki, comes a classic tale of magic and adventure for the whole family.

The film follows Satsuki and her sister Mei as they move with their father to a new home in the countryside. There they find country life is not as simple as it seems.

They soon discover that the house and nearby woods are full of strange and delightful creatures, including a gigantic but gentle forest spirit called Totoro, who can only be seen by children.

Totoro and his friends introduce the girls to a series of adventures, including a ride aboard the extraordinary Cat Bus, in this all-ages animated masterpiece featuring the voices of Tim Daly, Lea Salonga and real-life sisters Dakota and Elle Fanning, in early roles.
