Nearly 44K cruise ship passengers expected to arrive in Victoria this week

Victoria’s cruise season shows no signs of slowing down as another busy week is set to bring thousands of visitors to the city.

According to the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority’s cruise schedule, 13 vessels are scheduled to arrive between Monday, June 22nd and Sunday, June 28th, carrying an estimated 43,963 passengers through Victoria’s harbour.

The week features a mix of mega-ships, luxury vessels and fan favourites, including Virgin Voyages’ Brilliant Lady, Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas, Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Encore and Norwegian Joy, along with Princess Cruises’ newest vessel, Star Princess.

One notable vessel is the Brilliant Lady, which is scheduled to arrive on Monday, June 22nd. The newest ship in the Virgin Voyages fleet can carry up to 2,770 passengers and will be docked from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. before continuing on to Seattle.

Later in the week, Anthem of the Seas returns on Sunday, June 28th. Operated by Royal Caribbean, the vessel is among the largest regularly scheduled ships visiting Victoria this season with capacity for 4,919 passengers.

Since the cruise season began on April 10th, Victoria has welcomed approximately 118 cruise ship visits carrying an estimated 346,222 passengers. 

For cruise ship enthusiasts, Friday through Sunday will be the busiest stretch of the week, with nine vessels scheduled to arrive over the three-day period and more than 34,000 passengers expected on board. 

The 2026 season is expected to see a total of 336 cruise ship arrivals before wrapping up in October.

• Voyager of the Seas — Arrives 10 a.m. — 4,000 passengers
• Celebrity Edge — Arrives 5:30 p.m. — 2,918 passengers

Friday, June 26th

• Eurodam — Arrives 8 p.m. — 2,104 passengers
• Norwegian Bliss — Arrives 8 p.m. — 4,250 passengers
• Royal Princess — Arrives 9 p.m. — 3,560 passengers

Saturday, June 27th

• Star Princess — Arrives 7 p.m. — 4,300 passengers
• Norwegian Encore — Arrives 8 p.m. — 3,998 passengers

Sunday, June 28th

• Norwegian Joy — Arrives 8 a.m. — 3,883 passengers
• Anthem of the Seas — Arrives 5 p.m. — 4,919 passengers
