Greater Victoria is in for some more dreary weather this week, but the good news is that the sun is expected to return by the weekend.

According to Environment Canada, the forecast for Monday, June 29th is calling for a mainly cloudy day, with a high of 20°C and an overnight low of 12°C. Nighttime conditions will remain partly cloudy.

Tuesday’s forecast is calling for a mix of sun and cloud throughout the day with a high of 19°C. The overnight low is predicted to be around 11°C with cloudy periods.

On Wednesday, as the region celebrates Canada Day, the high in Greater Victoria is expected to be around 18°C and cloudy throughout the day. At night, there will be cloudy periods and the low is predicted to be 10°C.

Thursday’s forecast is the only day where rain is expected. Environment Canada is calling for another cloudy day with a 40% chance of rain. The high will get up to around 17°C whereas the low will get down to 12°C.

Following Thursday’s rain, Friday will heat up slightly with a predicted high of 21°C; however, the day is expected to remain cloudy. The overnight low will be close to 11°C with clear skies.

Over the weekend, Victoria will get a reprieve from the gloom as the sun’s rays are expected to return to the region. Saturday’s forecast calls for sunny conditions and a high of 23°C.

On Sunday, the capital region can expect more sun and a high of 24°C. The overnight low this weekend will be around 12°C with clear conditions.
