Though this week will begin with some dreary weather in Greater Victoria, the weekend is expected to heat up considerably with the high on Sunday projected to reach 28°C.
According to Environment Canada, on Monday, June 8th the forecast for the capital region will bring clouds and periods of rain throughout the day. Overnight, conditions will remain rainy. The daytime high will reach up to 15°C, while the low will be around 11°C.
On Tuesday, some rain may persist, with the forecast calling for a 60% chance of showers throughout the day, with a high of 16°C. By nighttime, the rain should subside, and the low will drop down to 10°C.
Wednesday’s forecast is the first of the week that is free of rain. Conditions in Greater Victoria are expected to be partly cloudy, with a daytime high of 18°C. The overnight low will be around 8°C.
According to Environment Canada, the weather will turn a corner in Victoria on Thursday. The high is expected to reach 21°C with nothing but sunny skies in the forecast. Overnight, the low will be a predicted 10°C.
Friday will be similar to Thursday with sunny skies and a high of 22°C, while the low will drop down to around 11°C.
On the weekend, Victoria may experience the hottest days of the year so far with Saturday’s high predicted to be 26°C and Sunday expected to reach 28°C. Environment Canada is forecasting nothing but sun over the weekend during the day with clear nights that will reach around 12°C.
