These car shows are returning to the rooftop of Mayfair Shopping Centre

Time to get fired up, car enthusiasts!

Victoria’s Light ‘EmUp.TV has announced their lineup of car shows happening this summer.

These shows have been gaining popularity for the last couple of years, taking place on the rooftop parking lot of Mayfair Shopping Centre, bringing hundreds of cars and thousands of spectators.

This year the fun continues.

The first show of the year is scheduled for Sunday, May 31st. This season opener is going to be more of what the show does best, according to the event organizer.

Showcasing all types of cars to the community on top of the Mayfair Shopping Centre roof.

Whether you’re a fan of vintage models, hot rods, motorcycles, lowriders or supercars, there’s something at these shows for everyone!

The second show, though, is one you aren’t going to want to miss. For the first time, this car show is going to have an “after dark” theme, again on the rooftop of Mayfair.

This second show, taking place on Saturday, June 27th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., will be a first-of-its-kind show here in Victoria.

The lights shine brighter and the entire rooftop will be transformed into a high-energy night show experience.

Think Tokyo drift meets old-school graffiti night. LED lights under the cars, live DJs and a light-up dance floor, a light show and a glow in the dark lounge area!

When Light ‘EmUp.TV founder Michael Nicholson was asked what his goal was with these shows, he told Victoria Buzz that he wanted to show Victoria a different side of the car community and bring people together with a common interest.

“I’m trying to create more hype around the car community, rather than people frowning upon the cars that people think are just loud,” Nicholson said.

“I’m excited to see more of the community come out who aren’t really into cars, but are taking a liking to the ones at the show. This is a really great community, and everyone loves to take part.”

In addition to all the cars that will be showcased, there will be live music, local vendors and food trucks, as well as tons of family-friendly activities including bouncy castles, a hot wheels race track competition, face-painting, games and activities and more.

Admission to these car shows is free and everyone is welcome to attend!
