Comox Valley RCMP are asking for the public’s help after a hit-and-run collision left a motorcyclist injured earlier this week in Courtenay.
According to police, officers were called to the intersection of Vanier Drive and Cliffe Avenue at around 2:12 p.m. on May 4th following a collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle that fled the scene.
Police say the suspect vehicle is believed to be a grey four-door Honda Civic with an unknown licence plate.
It was last seen heading northbound along Highway 19A and is expected to have front end damage. Dashcam footage of the vehicle has already been provided to investigators.
The motorcyclist was taken to hospital by BC Emergency Health Services and treated for minor injuries.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision, saw the suspect vehicle or may have dashcam footage from the area around the time of the crash to contact the Comox Valley RCMP at (250) 338-1321 and quote file 2026-6690.
