Two Victoria experiences are earning national attention once again.

Eagle Wing Whale Watching Tours and A Taste of Victoria Food Tours have both landed on Tripadvisor’s 2026 “Travellers’ Choice Awards: Best of the Best Things To Do” list in Canada, with strong showings among the country’s top attractions.

Eagle Wing’s whale and wildlife cruise ranked second overall, while A Taste of Victoria’s guided food and history tour came in fifth.

The annual rankings are based on the volume of “above-and-beyond reviews and opinions” from Tripadvisor users over a 12-month period. According to the company, fewer than 1% of its more than eight million listings earn a spot on the Best of the Best lists.

Tripadvisor highlighted Eagle Wing’s tour as a standout way to spot whales, sea lions and other marine life from the comfort of a catamaran, complete with expert commentary from onboard naturalists.

A Taste of Victoria’s experience, meanwhile, was praised as an easy way for visitors to sample locally sourced food while learning about the city’s history, with stops through areas like Chinatown, Old Town and the Inner Harbour.

The recognition marks another milestone for A Taste of Victoria Food Tours, which says it has now made the Best of the Best list seven times in the past eight years.

“This recognition isn’t just great for us, it shines a spotlight on Victoria as a whole,” said Jessica Taylor-Olson, the company’s social media and marketing manager.

“Having multiple local experiences ranked among the best in Canada shows what a special destination this is.”

Topping this year’s list was a tour of Lake Louise, Moraine Lake and Banff offered by Banff Everyday Tours in Alberta.
