Campbell River RCMP arrest Burnaby man following local drug seizure

Campbell River RCMP have arrested a 31-year-old man from Burnaby in a local drug bust. 

Following a lengthy investigation into a man allegedly trafficking drugs in the Campbell River area, a search warrant was executed on April 16th, resulting in one man’s arrest. 

Police executed the search warrant on a short-term vacation rental in the rural Merville area, just south of Campbell River. 

During the operation, a total of 780 grams of suspected cocaine, 310 grams of suspected fentanyl and over $13,000 was located and seized.

The suspect was taken into custody and was later released with his first court appearance being on June 29th.

The investigation was led by Campbell River RCMP Street Crime Unit, with the assistance of the Crime Reduction Unit, Major Crime Unit, Police Dog Services and frontline policing.
