After a few weeks of intermittent sun and rain, this week brings more of the same, but the weekend is slated to bring sunny, spring-like conditions to the Greater Victoria region.
According to Environment Canada, Wednesday, February 25th is expected to start out as sunny in Victoria, with cloudiness gradually increasing throughout the day. Some showers may be expected and the high is predicted to get up to 10°C while the low will be around 8°C.
Thursday’s forecast will bring more periodic showers and a high of 10°C. The showers should only last until late morning, then the day will be mostly cloudy until the evening. The overnight low will reach around 5°C.
Then the sun will start to come out on Friday, which is expected to bring a mix of sun and cloud to the region. The daily high will be around 11°C while the overnight low is expected to drop down dramatically to 2°C.
Saturday is expected to bring sunny skies to the region for the duration of the day and the high will be around 10°C. The overnight temperature will remain low, getting down to a predicted 1°C.
On Sunday, Victoria’s skies are expected to remain sunny with a daytime high of 10°C. Overnight temperatures will drop down to around 2°C once again and cloud coverage is expected to increase through the evening.
Early next week, conditions are expected to get increasingly cloudy with some chance of rain, but daytime highs will get ever-so-slightly warmer and be around 13°C.

Up-island the forecast is largely the same, with sunny conditions expected throughout Saturday and Sunday, although temperatures will be slightly lower.
Daytime highs will reach around 8°C from Comox Valley to Nanaimo over the weekend, it will be closer to 6°C in Port McNeill and in Tofino, temperatures will be around 9°C.
