Victoria’s annual Ska & Reggae Festival is coming back strong in 2026 and have just announced the big-name bands that will be headlining the five-day event.
The festival is known to blend genres of hip-hop, punk, reggae, dub, Afro-pop and more in the artists they curate for the summer event.
This year’s Ska & Reggae Festival headliners will include Lagwagon, Souls of Mischief, Charly Black and Bedouin Soundclash.
Lagwagon is a punk band from California, who formed in 1989 and has close ties with Fat Wreck Chords record label. Their sound is defined by a combination of technical skate punk riffs, melodic hooks and frontman Joey Cape’s vocals.
Based out of Oakland, California, Souls of Mischief is a hip-hop group who rose to fame in the early 90s. They are known for a jazzy, laid-back sound and are a cornerstone group of the West Coast underground rap scene.
Charly Black is a Tanzanian Afro-pop artist who blends Caribbean dancehall with African rhythms.
With strong ties to Victoria, Bedouin Soundclash will also be a headlining act for this year’s Ska & Reggae Festival. Their iconic blend of reggae, ska, punk, and hip-hop gained wide recognition with their massive 2004 hit “When the Night Feels My Song.”
The Victoria Ska & Reggae Festival also announced The Black Seeds, Five Alarm Funk, Clinton Fearon & the Boogie Brown Band, Antidoping, Bia Ferreira and Dr. Ring Ding as main acts this year.
The festival will take place between Wednesday, June 24th and Sunday, June 28th, in Victoria’s Inner Harbour, as well as in venues across the city.
All in all, Victoria’s annual Ska & Reggae Festival will see 40 acts from nine countries play over the four day summer festival.
