Saanich Police seek driver after pedestrian struck at Burnside and Harriet

Saanich Police are asking for witnesses and dashcam footage following a collision involving a pedestrian over the weekend.

According to police, the incident occurred on Saturday, February 14th at approximately 4:15 p.m. in the intersection of Burnside Road and Harriet Road.

Police say a black Nissan SUV collided with a pedestrian in the intersection.

After a brief conversation with the pedestrian, the driver allegedly left the scene, travelling westbound on Burnside Road West before emergency crews arrived.

Paramedics assessed the pedestrian at the scene for injuries. Police say the individual declined transport to hospital for further evaluation.

Police are working to identify the driver and the vehicle involved.
