It’s as good a time as any to get a little naughty this weekend!
On Friday, February 27th and Saturday the 28th, the Isle of Tease Burlesque Festival is back in Victoria for its fourth consecutive year.
The festival was established in 2019 and will take place at the Victoria Conference Centre, giving attendees two unforgettable nights that celebrate diversity, inclusivity, and all things burlesque and drag.
This year’s festivities will feature a promising lineup, led by headliner Foxy Lexxi Brown, who is an internationally-acclaimed, multi-award-winning burlesque powerhouse.
Brown’s accolades include being crowned ‘Princess of Burlesque’ at the 2025 Burlesque Hall of Fame and being ranked fifth among the most influential burlesque artists worldwide.
She is known for her fierce stage presence, magnetic charisma and enigmatic performances on some of the world’s most prestigious stages.
Additionally, the festival will feature local talent from the Cheesecake Burlesque Revue, a Victoria-based burlesque troupe.
They too are internationally-recognized burlesque icons who have been at the core of bringing the artform back to the city since establishing themselves in 2006.
This year marks the Cheesecake Burlesque Revue’s 20th anniversary, as well as the Isle of Tease’s fourth annual event.
In addition to putting on jaw-dropping performances, this year’s Isle of Tease will offer workshops that are led by world-renowned and local artists.
There will also be a number of curated community events that foster connection, skill-sharing and celebration.
Isle of Tease began as, and continues to be a space that is committed to inclusion, and uplifting Indigenous artists, performers of colour, artists of all ages, sizes, body types, abilities and 2SLGBTQ+ creatives.
