Celebrate the Lunar New Year at Mayfair Shopping Centre this weekend!

On Saturday, February 21st, Mayfair’s centre court will transform into a vibrant hub of free, family-friendly activities as the shopping centre welcomes the Lunar New Year with an afternoon of cultural celebration.

Presented in partnership with the Victoria Chinatown Museum Society, this festive event brings Chinese traditions, performances, and hands-on activities to the community.

Festivities kick off at 1 p.m. with traditional lion dances, followed by a kids’ Kung Fu class led by the Wong Sheung Kung Fu Club, where young participants will learn elements of a traditional performance.

From 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., kids can also unleash their creativity with a variety of arts and crafts, including calligraphy, lantern making, and a fun chopstick challenge that everyone is welcome to try.

With fun activities, cultural performances, and something for all ages to enjoy, it’s the perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon with friends and family.

The best part? It’s all completely free with no registration required—just head to Mayfair’s Centre Court and join in on the festivities this Saturday!
