Get ready parents!

Raffi is the world’s foremost children’s musician and he will be coming to Victoria early next year, on February 6th and 7th, 2027.

The Armenian-Canadian singer-songwriter is widely considered the best-selling and most influential children’s music artist—often cited as the “king of children’s music.”

Not only is Raffi a singer-songwriter, but he is also an influential producer, author, lecturer and advocate for children who has dedicated his life to making kids smile, dance and sing.

His most iconic song, “Baby Beluga” is the title track off the album by the same name that was released in 1980.

This song was written after Raffi met a beluga whale named Kavna at the Vancouver Aquarium.

That song and many others from Baby Beluga still echo through the minds of Generation X, Millennials, Generation Z, and will likely continue to do so for the generations to come.

Through his advocacy work, Raffi developed the idea of “Child Honouring,” which he describes as “a vision of an extraordinary social-change revolution with the universal human at its heart, and that universal human is the human child.”

Raffi continues to advocate for change to allow children a better future, and even launched the Raffi Foundation for Child Honouring.

All proceeds from the upcoming Raffi show in Victoria will go towards this foundation.

The Royal Theatre noted that a Raffi concert is best suited for children old enough to talk, sing or clap long, while babies are best off to enjoy his music at home due to the concert’s noise levels.

That said, babies are welcome at the concert, but the ticket policy of the theatre is that every person needs a ticket, even babies.

Tickets are on sale now and range from $51.25 to $156.75.
