Victoria Film Festival

A Wolf Among the Swans

The true story of Thiago Soares, a hip hop dancer in Rio de Janeiro, whose journey to becoming an international ballet star is troubled with accidents, poverty and a driven ballet coach.

Rose of Nevada

A distinctively original ghost story about the return of a missing fishing vessel, Rose of Nevada, thirty years later, and its impact on a remote Cornish village.

A Second Life

A young hearing-impaired woman (Titane’s Agathe Rousselle) manages short-term rentals in Paris during the chaos of the Olympic Games. Her life changes dramatically when she meets Elijah (Alex Lawther), an extroverted, free-spirited Californian. As annoyance turns to charm, the two form an unexpected bond.

Showtune Piano Bar Cabaret

Maanomaa, My Brother at the Belfry Theatre

A simple and theatrical performance of two “brothers” confronting the chasm between them. 

Childhood friends Kwame and Will reunite in Ghana for the funeral of a loved one, and discover how much has changed since they separated 25 years earlier. 

Telling their story in a beautiful combination of dialogue and movement, the play is both fiercely personal and curiously abstract.
