Another successful year in the books!
The results are in and this year’s Festival of Trees Victoria has raised $135,000 for the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation over the holiday season which marked the 10th year at the Bay Centre.
Since its debut in 2015, Festival of Trees Victoria has become a cherished holiday tradition for Victorians, raising more than $1.7 million for charity.
These funds go directly to supporting breakthrough research, specialized treatment, and essential care to thousands of families across the province.
With twinkling lights, holiday music, and beautiful Christmas trees, stepping into the Bay Centre felt like entering a winter wonderland.
Almost 80 stunning trees—each decorated by a local business—lined the mall, ready for visitors to vote for their favourite.
A donation of any amount is all it takes to cast a vote, with 100% of the proceeds going to Island kids who rely on the services of the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
This year, the trees with the most donations were Victoria Residential Builders Association with $5,080, RE/MAX Generation with $4,450, and Hutcheson & Co. LLP with $3,777.
The People’s Choice award for the most popular tree was claimed by Hendra Moving.
“We are incredibly grateful to the sponsors, visitors, and donors who make this tradition possible,” said Darlene Hollstein, Bay Centre general manager.
“Celebrating 10 years of hosting this event at the Bay Centre reminds us how deeply our community cares for the health and well-being of local children.”
The Bay Centre is already hard at work planning for the 2026 Festival of Trees Victoria, promising another season of magical trees and heartwarming moments—all in support of a great cause.
