Police look to identify suspects in West Shore counterfeit currency investigation

West Shore RCMP are investigating a counterfeit currency fraud and are asking the public for help identifying three suspects believed to be involved.

According to West Shore RCMP, the suspects allegedly used counterfeit US currency to purchase merchandise from a West Shore retailer on multiple occasions throughout December 2025 and January 2026.

Police say the incidents resulted in thousands of dollars in losses.

The first suspect is described as a light-skinned male between 35 and 45-years-old, with dark facial hair in a chin-strap style beard. At the time of the incidents, he was wearing dark pants and a dark reflective work jacket.

The second suspect is also described as a light-skinned male between 35 and 45-years-old, with dark facial hair in a short boxed beard style. He was wearing a grey, orange, and black toque, a tan zip-up fleece sweater, green pants, and black flip-flops.

The third suspect is described as a light-skinned male between 25 and 35-years-old, with dark facial hair in a chin-strap style beard. He was wearing a black toque, a blue windbreaker jacket with yellow piping, a light-coloured shirt, grey joggers with a black stripe down the side, and black runners with white soles.

Police say the suspects are believed to be associated with a black 2021 to 2026 Chrysler Grand Caravan bearing a partial BC licence plate of T1L***.
