A Vancouver Island woman who was reported missing earlier this month has been found deceased, according to Ladysmith RCMP.
Police confirmed that the 43-year-old woman, identified as Jennifer Switzer, was located after being reported missing on December 8th.
RCMP say the circumstances surrounding her death are not considered suspicious.
“The RCMP offers its condolences to the family and friends of the deceased,” Ladysmith RCMP said in a statement.
Switzer was last seen in Ladysmith on the evening of December 7, prompting police to issue a public appeal for assistance amid concerns for her health and well-being.
RCMP have not released further details, noting that the matter is not criminal in nature.
