Bring a toy to the Victoria Royals game Friday and make a child’s Christmas brighter

It’s time to give back, Victoria!

The Victoria Royals are hosting their 5th annual Christmas Toy Drive in support of CFAX Santa’s Anonymous at Save-On-Food Memorial Centre this Friday, December 5th.

CFAX Santa’s Anonymous is one of Greater Victoria’s longest running not-for-profit organizations, helping over 1,200 local families experience the magic of the Christmas season.

“Our fans, our partners, and our organization all rally behind this cause every year, and together we can make a huge impact for families who need it most,” said Logan Halpenny, Manager of Business Development with the Victoria Royals Hockey Club.

This event, presented by Proline Property Management, gets hockey fans involved, encouraging them to shop the virtual wish list and bring selected gifts to the Toy Drive.

Bring your gift to Friday’s game—new, unopened toys only, to ensure every child receives something special.

Last year Proline’s truck was overflowing with donated toys and this year, they want to do the same!

Every fan that participates in the Toy Drive will be entered to win a Victoria Royals Christmas Gift Basket with the winner announced during the second intermission.

The Toy Drive runs during the first of two games against the Prince George Cougars on Friday, December 5th at 7:05 p.m.

The Royals are coming off back-to-back wins against the Seattle Thunderbirds last weekend and will be looking to build on that momentum as they work their way back up the standings.

Prince George (17-8-0-0) entered as one of the WHL’s hottest teams, winning eight of their last ten and holding first place in the BC Division.

The Cougars have taken both meetings with Victoria so far, both on home ice. This time they visit the Royals’ rink, bringing the league’s top power play and penalty kill.

You can catch the second matchup between the two teams on Sunday, December 7th at 2:05 p.m.
