The BC Lions are kicking off their 2026 CFL pre-season right here at Langford’s Starlight Stadium against the Edmonton Elks this spring.
The team released its 2026 regular season schedule on Tuesday, December 9th, ramping up excitement as fans look ahead to another run at the Grey Cup after their close win against the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
This pre-season matchup on Saturday, May 23rd marks the Lions’ first outing since their season-ending loss, and they’re coming in hungry. According to the team, they’re “ready to prove that last season’s ending only sharpened their focus.”
Last year, the Lions dominated the Elks, winning all three of their games, which only heightens the anticipation for Vancouver Island fans eager to see the Lions hit the field again.
Following their Langford showdown, the Lions will wrap up pre-season with a visit to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on May 29th.
On June 13th, they’ll revisit familiar rivals with a rematch against the Saskatchewan Roughriders, followed by a match against the Hamilton Tough-Cats on Friday, June 19th before hosting Touchdown Kelowna.
Fans can catch even more action as the Lions take on the Calgary Stampeders at the Apple Bowl on June 27th—the first of two games there—before meeting the Edmonton Elks once again on July 4th.
After the massive success of Touchdown Pacific in Victoria in 2024, where the Lions played the Ottawa Redblacks at Royal Athletic Park for over 14,000 fans, Kelowna is gearing up for a high-energy celebration of CFL football in summer 2026.
Don’t miss the BC Lions’ pre-season premiere at Starlight Stadium on May 23rd.
