The Dickens Fair

One of Victoria’s oldest and beloved winter craft fairs is back for its 44th year! 

The Dickens Fair is an annual James Bay tradition, featuring over 60 carefully curated Vancouver Island and Gulf Island artisans offering affordable homemade products.

Yuletide Market Series

Designed as a retail pop-up store, the Yuletide Market Series has a rotating list of vendors, ensuring no two market weekends are the same! 

Each weekend market is open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., running through to December 21st. 

Hot drinks and food are available for purchase!

Moss Cottage Christmas & Market 

It’s time to get festive! 

This family-friendly event, presented by the Sooke Region Museum and Visitor Center, highlights the rich heritage of local food producers, artists, artisans, and entrepreneurs, while enjoying holiday traditions around historic Moss Cottage.

 Enjoy live music, cookie decorating, lantern-making, and more!

Krampus Market

Not all that celebrate are saints…

Join the Fernwood Community Centre for a dark folklore market filled with handcrafted oddities and festive mischief on Saturday, December 6th. 

Explore over 40 local artisan vendors while enjoying delicious bites from food trucks, and even get a photo taken with Krampus himself…if you dare. 

Shop one-of-a-kind gifts, some delightfully dark, others with their own distinct charm. The Krampus Market has something for everyone! 

Admission is $5, but kids under 12 get in for free!

Esquimalt Skate with Santa

Santa is coming to the Archie Browning Sports Centre! 

Get into the holiday spirit with a festive free skate, packed with music, fun, and plenty of holiday cheer! 

Skate rentals are just $3.50, available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Langford Light Up

The annual Langford Light Up is on Saturday, December 6th!

The festivities kick off at 1 p.m., with carousel rides at Veterans Memorial Parks, followed by the beloved Winter Fest market from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

At 4 p.m., visit their new Whoville Hut where the Grinch will be around for photos! Santa will also be available for photos after 5:15 p.m., when he arrives in style by firetruck. 

Finally, catch the tree lighting at 7:15 p.m., a magic show, and the IEOA Truck Parade at 7:30 p.m. 

It’s a night of holiday fun for everyone!

IEOA Truck Parade

The 27th annual Island Equipment Owners Association (IEOA) Truck Parade and Food Drive returns this Saturday, December 6th to deliver holiday magic across Victoria. 

Over 80 hardworking commercial trucks have been cleaned, polished, and decorated with festive lights to bring holiday cheer and support local food banks.

The parade starts at 5 p.m. at Ogden Point, slowly rolling along a 35 km route, through five municipalities in Greater Victoria, and into Royal Bay for the grand finale at about 8 p.m.

Little Dickens at The Belfry Theatre

As Ebenezer Scrooge, faded theatrical diva Esmé Massengill slinks, sulks, and slanders her co-stars in this campy and salaciously funny version of the classic story. 

This holiday season we welcome back Ronnie Burkett, the winner of more awards than can be listed here—including the Governor General’s Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts. 

This is an R-rated affair, strictly for audiences 16 and older.

Victoria Baroque Presents Christmas with Octet Victoria

‘Tis the season for a merry celebration of timeless holiday music! 

Christmastide has inspired some of the most delightful and brilliant choral music. 

Victoria Baroque joins the professional vocal ensemble Octet Victoria in a program of music by Bach, Buxtehude, and their friends that will bring both joy and tenderness to your festive season.

Patio Gardens Christmas Market 

A market in a greenhouse! 

Come and peruse fabulous gifts, crafts, and Christmas creations made by members of the community. 

Hungry? They’ve got you covered! 

There’ll be food and beverage carts, as well as a fire pit to relax at while enjoying the live music by the Victoria Conservatory of Music and other artists.

Langford Winter Fest Market 

Get ready for a magical weekend of holiday cheer at Langford’s Winter Fest Market! 

This two-day community celebration will transform both The Langford Station and Veterans Memorial Park into festive destinations filled with lights, laughter, and local charm. 

Shop handmade goods, enjoy live music, take photos with Santa and The Grinch, and experience the warmth of the season with your friends, family, and neighbours. 

All proceeds from the event support the South Island Primary Care Society, a local nonprofit working to recruit and retain family doctors, support local clinics, and ensure families across the South Island have access to care close to home.
