Vancouver Island’s magical Christmas train will return this holiday season

Vancouver Island’s most magical train ride is back this holiday season!

The Christmas Express event at Duncan’s BC Forest Discovery Centre returns November 28th to give you 19 nights of holiday magic.

Until December 23rd, visitors can experience an enchanting train ride around their 100-acre property, as well as other festive events.

Samson, their 1910 steam locomotive, will follow colourfully lit tracks, winding through the forest and past historic trains all decked out with twinkling lights and jolly displays—all while singing along to Christmas carols.

For children who dream of the Polar Express, this is their chance to experience it firsthand!

After the train ride, kids can do arts and crafts in the old-fashioned schoolhouse, visit the miniature Christmas village, and cozy up to a seven-foot-tall Santa for photos.

Adults and kids can enjoy live music, which will play nightly from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., while warming up by the firepits and sipping on hot chocolate or tea from the concession stand.

Tickets are in high demand and selling fast! Purchase yours ahead of time, and learn more about the event here.

Don’t miss out on this unforgettable holiday experience—all aboard the Christmas Express!
