These BC Transit routes will see reduced service over the holidays

Share

A number of Victoria bus routes will run less often starting December 8th as winter break kicks in and ridership dips across the region.

BC Transit says the temporary change lines up with fewer students commuting to UVic and Camosun, along with many residents taking time off or travelling during the holidays.

The following routes will see reduced service until January 5th:

  • 4 UVic/Downtown
  • 7 UVic/Downtown
  • 8 Interurban/Tillicum Centre/Oak Bay
  • 9 Royal Oak/UVic
  • 12 University Heights/UVic
  • 14 UVic/Vic General
  • 21 Interurban/Downtown
  • 26 Dockyard/UVic
  • 39 Westhills/UVic
  • 51 Langford/UVic
  • 52 Colwood Exch/Bear Mtn (RRU service only)
  • 76 Swartz Bay/UVic

Service on these routes will return to normal on January 5th, along with additional schedule changes.

Riders are encouraged to use the Umo app, Google Transit, or other transit apps to check real-time schedules. More information and customer alerts are available online.
