Share

West Shore RCMP’s bike patrol recovered over $10,000 worth of stolen goods this week from a residence in View Royal.

Following the execution of two search warrants at the residence in question, officers found and seized numerous items considered to be high-value construction equipment.

This includes four spools of electrical conduit, one generator, one rammer as well as numerous assorted tools and equipment.

Investigators have reportedly confirmed that the stolen equipment was taken from two separate locations that occurred within the region.

During the seizures, West Shore RCMP arrested a 27-year-old man in relation to possession of stolen property.

“These types of property crimes have a real and lasting impact on local businesses,” said Corporal Chris Joy, West Shore RCMP Bike Patrol Unit.

“When essential equipment is stolen, it can halt operations, increase costs and create hardship for business owners and workers.”

The recovered property has since been returned to its rightful owners.

Police say the investigation is ongoing, and urge anyone with information to contact West Shore RCMP at (250) 474-2264.
