The annual Sidney Sparkles Holiday Parade is back!
Head to downtown Sidney on Sunday, December 7th for an evening of festive, family fun that will include a parade of holiday floats with twinkling lights, live music, and holiday cheer.
Plus, a special visit from Santa Claus!
Hosted by Peninsula Celebrations Society, this year’s theme is “Peace and Goodwill,” highlighting the importance of kindness, unity, and harmony during the holiday season.
The parade starts at 5 p.m., beginning on Resthaven Drive, running along Beacon Avenue, and then ending at Ocean Avenue.
It’ll be a busy night, so expect road closures and delays in the surrounding area before, during, and after the parade—especially in the downtown Sidney area.
And the fun doesn’t stop there!
Peninsula Celebrations Society is hosting other holiday events to keep the Christmas spirit alive throughout the season.
On December 13th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., join Santa in Sidney’s Winter Wonderland, located at the corner of Beacon Avenue and Second Street, for free photos.
Be sure to bring your phone or camera to capture the magic!
Additionally, the annual Polar Bear Swim is returning for new year celebrations! Make your way to Glass Beach, located at the end of Beacon Avenue, on January 1st at 1 p.m. for a rejuvenating kickoff to the new year.
Don’t forget to bring warm clothes for after!
Mark your calendars and get ready to enjoy the magic of the season. Sidney is ready to sparkle—see you there!
