Victoria Royals host double header versus visiting Penticton Vees this weekend

The Victoria Royals will be back on home ice this weekend following their US road trip, which was capped off by a win versus the Portland Winterhawks.

They’ve now set their sights on a pair of games versus the newly minted Penticton Vees this weekend, where both contests feature promotional themes to keep the fun going post-Halloween.

And don’t put those costumes away just yet! Saturday’s game marks the first-ever Anime Night at SOFMC, encouraging fans to come dressed in their best anime attire. Puck drop for this game is at 6:05 p.m.

Also, leading up to the game the Royals are running an anime art contes, where fans are encouraged to submit their best Royals inspired anime artwork for a chance to win four tickets to the game, two tickets to FanExpo Vancouver, and their artwork featured in game on the jumbotron—you can submit your masterpiece here!

Then on Sunday, Kids Takeover Night is back!

Puck drop for Sunday’s matinee game is at 2:05 p.m., and kids will be taking over the roles of the Royals’ game day staff.

Sunday also marks the launch of the Kids “Sunday Funday” promo, where kids will receive a popcorn voucher with their ticket—this promotion will run every Sunday game and is available for purchase here!

As always, if you come early, you can take advantage of Happy Hour with the cheapest beer on the island and major discounts on concessions—Happy Hour is available for every home game an hour before the puck drops!

The WHL’s newest team the Penticton Vees have started their season off strong with a 7-4-1-1record—competing with the Royals and Cougars for top of the BC Division.

This weekend marks the 3rd and 4th meetings between the Royals and Vees this season, and the Royals have secured wins in their first two games played versus Penticton.

This includes the Royals’ 5-0 victory during the home opener, and they will look to continue their winning ways in back-to-back contests this weekend.
