RCMP seek help locating missing man and 6-year-old grandson last seen in Duncan area (UPDATED)

UPDATE: RCMP confirmed they have located the missing 42-year old man and his 6-year-old grandson. No other details were released.

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing 42-year old man who they say is believed to be in the company of his 6-year-old grandson.

Norman Lecoy and his grandson Zidane Wavey were reported missing on October 17th, though the grandfather hasn’t been seen since September 19th in the North Cowichan/Duncan area.

Police describe Lecoy an a 42-year-old Indigenous man, standing 5’7″, with black hair and brown eyes.

The grandson, Wavey, is described as a 6-year-old Indigenous child with brown hair and brown eyes.

RCMP are concerned for their health and well-being, and note that Lecoy is from the Winnipeg, Manitoba area and could possibly be travelling there.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Norman Lecoy and/or Zidane Wavey are urged to contact North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
