Victoria’s iconic Fairmont Empress will cook your Thanksgiving dinner for you

Share

This Thanksgiving, forget about grocery lists, endless chopping, and that sink full of dishes.

Instead, let one of Victoria’s most iconic hotels handle everything. The Fairmont Empress has created a Turkey to Go feast that promises to be both easy and tasty.

All you need to do is heat, serve, and enjoy more quality time with your loved ones.

The menu is exactly what you’d expect from the Empress. It balances tradition with culinary skill.

Each order includes a whole herb-brined and slow-roasted free-run turkey. It is carved with care to showcase its flavour and tenderness.

Surrounding the main dish are all the classic sides, including sourdough-sage stuffing, creamy mashed potatoes, maple-roasted root vegetables, and brussels sprouts with double-smoked bacon and confit onion.

The meal is completed with rich turkey gravy, a house-made cranberry-apple chutney, and freshly baked dinner rolls.

Whether you’re hosting a large gathering or a small get-together, the Empress provides two perfectly sized options. A full turkey ($599 plus tax) serves 8 to 10 guests. The half turkey ($349 plus tax) is great for gatherings of four.

To elevate your feast even further, the Empress has a selection of add-ons that are as indulgent as they are thoughtful. Imagine slicing into a pumpkin and milk chocolate torte, or sharing the Empress’ legendary Signature Torte.

If you’d like to start with something savoury, consider a fisherman’s wharf seacuterie box, artisan meats and cheeses, or even a jumbo shrimp cocktail to set the tone for the evening.

For those who love the sides as much as the turkey itself, extras like brussels sprouts, stuffing, or mashed potatoes can be added on à la carte. Gluten-free options are also available, ensuring everyone at the table can enjoy.

Placing your order couldn’t be simpler. Guests must pre-order online through OpenTable, with the deadline set for Wednesday, October 8th at noon. Pickup will be available on Sunday, October 12th from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., giving you plenty of time to set the table and pour the wine before the feast begins.

Thanksgiving is about slowing down, sharing a meal, and enjoying the company of those who matter most. With the Fairmont Empress preparing your holiday feast, you can spend less time in the kitchen and more time at the table.

This year, let their culinary team take care of the details so you can focus on what truly counts—spending time with family and friends, and maybe enjoying a well-deserved nap after the turkey.
