Teen arrested in Brentwood Bay after police recover stolen jet skis

A 19-year-old man has been arrested after Central Saanich Police recovered two stolen jet skis in Brentwood Bay last week.

The investigation began on Tuesday, September 23rd, when police received a tip about a possibly stolen jet ski.

Police tracked down the suspect and confirmed the watercraft had been stolen.

During the arrest, they also found a second jet ski in his possession, which had been reported stolen out of the West Shore area.

The suspect, a Greater Victoria resident, was taken into custody without incident.

Police say they will be recommendeding several charges, including possession of property obtained by crime, trafficking in property obtained by crime, and failing to comply with an undertaking.

Both jet skis have since been returned to their rightful owners.
