Neighbours’ concerns about safety on Balmoral Road sparked a major police operation this week that led to a significant seizure of drugs, cash, and weapons.
VicPD says its strike force unit, supported by the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant at a property in the 900 block of Balmoral Road.
Inside, police discovered nearly 200 grams of illegal drugs, $100,600 in cash, and a collection of weapons.
The raid follows repeated calls from residents who reported ongoing street disorder, open drug use, and frequent overdoses in the area.

Police say Friday’s bust is part of a larger push to disrupt drug trafficking and restore confidence in the neighbourhood.
One man was arrested at the scene and later released while the investigation continues.
While VicPD calls this seizure an important step, the strike force unit says it isn’t stopping here and plans to continue targeting drug traffickers across the city.
