Major crime unit investigating suspicious death at Victoria home

The Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit (VIIMCU) is now handling the investigation into a suspicious death on Armine Place in Victoria.

According to VicPD, officers responded to a residence around 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23rd, after receiving a report about an injured man.

Upon arrival, police said they found a 62-year-old man who was declared dead at the scene.


Investigators noticed evidence at the home that led them to consider the death suspicious.

VIIMCU has taken charge of the case and is still in the early phases of the investigation.

Police have stated that there is no sign of any threat to the public.

In a media release VicPD said officers and investigators are expected to remain in the area in the coming days to find out what happened leading to the man’s death.

VicPD said no further details would be released at this time.
