As the the sunny weather persists, so do things to do in Victoria, and this Thursday is no exception—from markets to music and so much more, we’ve got it all.

Slather on that sunscreen and grab your shades (and pals!) because it’s going to be another beautiful day in the capital city, and here are 5 things to do while you enjoy it:

Sidney Street Market

Summer’s not over quite yet!

Every Thursday, thousands of people flock to downtown Sidney on market nights to check out unique vendors, enjoy live entertainment, and grab a bite to eat.

This is their second to last summer market, so make sure you don’t miss out!

Writers’ Open Mic

Gigi’s Cafe is inviting you to share your writing with the world!

Poetry, fiction, non fiction: they love it all! 10 minutes per reader.

Sandwiches, soup, baked goods, and drink menu all available. Doors open at 6, and readings are 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Esquimalt Farmers Market

Enjoy the outdoor Esquimalt Farmers Market, which has officially returned for its 11th season, and will be running for just a little bit longer!

You’ll find a huge selection of featured farm-fresh produce, meat, eggs, baked goods, jewelry, clothing and much more.

Plus, they’ll have rotating weekly food trucks and nightly musical performances.

Mike Allen Trio at Hermann’s Jazz Club

Music lovers, this is for you!

Mike Allen’s tenor saxophone style blends lyrical phrasing with a modern harmonic sensibility, showcasing both emotional depth and technical precision.

He will be joined by Victoria’s extraordinary bassist and multi-instrumentalist, John Lee, alongside the pride of Nanaimo, drummer Graham Villette at Hermann’s Jazz Club this Thursday.

Morning Yoga in the Garden

Enjoy a relaxing drop-in hatha flow yoga session in the Bonsai garden at HCP!

The session is led by Hayley from Cedar and Soul Movement. Hayley is a passionate instructor who believes everyone can benefit from the teachings of yoga and nature.

Combined with the beauty of nature, this is sure to be and experience that will leave you feeling grounded and nourished.
