There’s a festival celebrating plant-based living coming to Victoria this month!
Taking place at Victoria’s Inner Harbour, VegFest Victoria is inviting locals and visitors alike to partake in a day of food, music and connection.
It will take place on Saturday, August 16th at Ship Point from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is set to feature over 55 local vendors offering goods such as vegan eats, cruelty-free skincare, sustainable artisan goods, and more.
Presented by Positively Vegan, attendees can expect a focus on sustainability, all the while enjoying engaging talks, live music, kids’ activities and opportunities to chat with local plant-focused organizations.
“VegFest Victoria is a celebration of community and a reminder that a kinder, more sustainable food system is not only possible—it’s necessary for both our health and the planet,” said Stacy Neilson, Board Chair of Positively Vegan and Event Manager for VegFest Victoria.
“By coming together, sharing food, music, and ideas, we’re building something truly hopeful and empowering.”
This year’s lineup includes performances by local band West Street Children, magician Quirk, and Manipulate Gravity.
Experts providing talks include Dr. Carter, Vesanto Melina and lawyer Victoria Shurr. They’ll be covering topics such as health and nutrition, climate action and food justice.
This is a nonprofit showcase that is meant to spotlight organizations advocating for a sustainable future, as well as provide fun and community connection!
It’s open to all, whether you’re vegan, curious to learn more or hoping to try something new.
Admission to the event is free, and any donations will support future VegFests and other community-focused events.
