Movie lovers, listen up!
Cineplex is wrapping up the summer with another round of $5 movie and popcorn deals this weekend, Saturday, August 30th and Sunday, August 31st.
Every general admission ticket for any regular 2D movie will cost only $5 (plus tax) when purchased in person, a small popcorn will also be available for $5.
If you’re one to plan ahead, there may be some extra booking fees. Here’s the cost breakdown:
- CineClub members (online): No booking fee, cost is $5
- Scene+ members (online): $1 booking fee, plus the $5 ticket
- Everyone else (online): $1.50 booking fee, plus the $5 ticket
If you’re a serious moviegoer and wish to upgrade your tickets to IMAX, UltraAVX or VIP, you can do so for an additional cost.
In addition to big savings, a portion of the proceeds will go toward The Canadian Picture Pioneers. They’re an organization that’s been supporting members of Canada’s motion picture industry since the 1940s via education, community programs and financial support.
Tickets for movies this weekend go on sale starting Wednesday, August 27th. Don’t wait to purchase, as they’re expected to go quickly!
