Snakes, Reptiles, Amphibians: Outdoor Exhibit
CRD Regional Parks is hosting an outdoor exhibit on snakes, reptiles, and amphibians!
There will be naturalists and special guest organizations with displays and activities, and there will be guided walks offered throughout the event.
It’ll take place near the Beaver Lake Picnic Shelter at the Filter Beds parking lot, along a gravel path with a slight incline at the edge of a grass field.

Join the crew at Friends of Dorothy for Sylvester Stalletto’s birthday bash!
It’s been three years since drag and burlesque icon Sylvester Stalletto made his debut, and everyone is invited for an evening of food, killer performances and camp brilliance.
Performers include Noah Lott, Henrietta Dubet, Holly Shirt, Chaz Avery, Fierce Brosnan, Hazel Nuez and many more!
Tickets are $12 and can be purchased via Eventbrite.

Shade Apparel: Fringe Festival
This year marks the 39th annual Victoria Fringe Festival, which hits the city on Wednesday, August 20th and runs until Sunday, August 31st.
That’s 12 days with 150 performances from 35 local, national and international artists across nine different venues—featuring five traditional stages and four unconventional spaces.
One of Thursday’s highlighted shows includes Shade Apparel, written and created by Alan Segal of Imbroglio Theatre. As described, it’s about wanting to know more and not knowing where to find anything.

ReLove Night Market
Popular vintage and secondhand pop-up will be hosting their Summer Night Market series, that began on Thursday, June 26th.
Every Thursday until September 25th, shoppers can browse vintage, secondhand, sustainable fashion and local artisan finds from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Fort Commons.
There will also be drinks, snacks and live music!

Summer Stories in the Park
Esquimalt’s Recreation staff are offering free story time in the park throughout the summer!
They’ll be reading stories from Canadian authors, which will then be followed by a fun themed activity. This week will bring audiences A Bumblebee Sweater by Betty Waterton
The stories are intended for children 2 to 5-years-old, but all are welcome.
