VicPD is asking for the public’s help in locating witnesses to a collision that sent a pedestrian to hospital Tuesday night.

The crash involved a taxi and a female pedestrian and occurred just after 8 p.m. near the intersection of Wharf and Broughton Streets on July 15th.

Paramedics provided immediate medical care before transporting the woman to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Photos from the scene show a large stretch of Wharf Street taped off. Police closed the area with yellow barricades and tape as investigators examined the scene.

Investigators are now appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have dashcam, CCTV, or other video footage of the collision.

If you have any information that could assist with the investigation, please contact VicPD at (250) 995-7654 and quote file number 25-26666.
