VicPD seek help identifying suspect in theft of $2K cashmere and fox fur shawl

VicPD are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in the alleged theft of a luxury garment from a Government Street retailer. 

On July 9th, at approximately 3:30 p.m., police received a report of theft which took place at London Towne Boutique, one of the Shops at the Empress, within the Fairmont Empress Hotel. 

The stolen garment was a cashmere and fox fur shawl that was valued at around $2,000.

VicPD describe the suspect they seek as a Caucasian man, who is approximately 50 to 55-years-old, standing around 5’11” tall, with a slim to medium build. 

He was seen on CCTV wearing a baseball hat and a black jacket with beige trim.

Police ask that anyone with information about this incident, or who may recognize the suspect, to contact the VicPD at (250) 995-7654, citing file number 25-26025.
