Cat lovers of Victoria, mark your calendars!
The Vic Theatre is bringing back the beloved Cat Video Fest, with screenings from Saturday, August 2nd to Monday, August 4th.
Curated by Oscilloscope Laboratories, this 74-minute cat compilation features some of the best, funniest and most heartwarming clips from across a variety of sources.
As described, Cat Video Fest is a lighthearted, feel-good event that’s meant to draw people together to collectively celebrate their shared love for all things feline.
In addition to being about cute cats, this event also supports a good cause. A portion of the ticket proceeds will go towards Cat’s Cradle Animal Rescue—a local organization that’s dedicated to reducing, rehabilitating and rehoming animals that are overlooked.
“Who does not love watching cat videos? This event is so much fun every year,” said The Vic theatre manager Kiana Karimkhani.
“It also allows us to help Cat’s Cradle in the great work they do.”
There will be three screenings in total, with two of those being family-friendly:
- Saturday, August 2nd at 3 p.m. (all ages)
- Sunday, August 3rd at 5:30 p.m.
- Monday, August 4th at 3 p.m. (all ages)
Each attendee will also receive a 2-for-1 coupon for Chocolats Favoris’ ice cream. Plus, if you sign up for The Vic’s newsletter, you’ll have the chance to win a Chocolats Favoris’ gift bag.
The Sunday screening will be licensed (hence no minors), and will host a trivia contest where attendees will have the chance to win a $275 gift basket from Paws on Cook.
Tickets are just over $14 and can be purchased online.
